The ¬†Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association (ONPHA) have released numbers showing the average cost of rent in three of Ontario’s biggest housing markets; Hamilton, Ottawa and Toronto.

The number may surprise you. Although Hamilton rents are on average 300$ cheaper than in Toronto, it would take an income that is higher than minimum wage to afford even just a bachelor apartment.
